Every time I visit Napa Valley I like to try and visit new places. I don’t believe that I have eaten at the same restaurant twice! Besides Bouchon Bakery, which I go to at least once on every trip, I am slowly eating my way through wine country. When it comes to wine tasting I also have my go-to places I will always stop at like Domaine Carneros, but I too like to try new wineries at each visit. On my most recent trip I finally got to check out Bardessono and ate at Lucy’s Restaurant and Bar at Bardessono for lunch. It was a rainy day, so I didn’t get to walk around Yountville like I would have wanted to but instead we checked out the property from inside, and enjoyed a delicious and leisurely lunch!
But you guys, in all honesty their scallops were to die for, melt in your mouth, amazing!! When I finished I was sad I didn’t have any more. It’s a funny story but that evening when we went out to dinner I ended up ordering more scallops because I was seriously still craving them. Since I’ve been dairy free since we found out that Mason has a bit of an allergy to dairy it hasn’t always been easy to order at certain restaurants. Lucy’s was kind enough to prepare their scallops without butter so that I could enjoy them. I forgot to make sure their salad didn’t have any cheese on it so I ended up just picking it off the salad. I ended my lunch with a little sorbet trio since that was the only dessert on the menu that I could have.
The next time you find yourself in Napa Valley, I highly recommend dining at Lucy’s Restaurant and Bar at Bardessono! It will not disappoint!!
