This past weekend I was in Boise, Idaho for the launch party for the travel company I am a founding member affiliate of. I’d never been to Boise, Idaho before so I was looking forward to exploring this active and outdoorsy city. I will say that Boise, or what I got to see of it, reminded me a lot of Denver, Colorado! This past weekend, unfortunately, it was raining most of my trip so I was unable to go an a hike as originally planned nor did I go on one of the many wine tasting tours. So what did I do while in Boise…I ate my way through it 😉
No really, between events with JIFU and an all day conference on the one and only day the sun was out, we wined and dined all four days of our trip! We had an 80’s themed party on Saturday night which was loads of fun! I didn’t snap nearly as many pictures as I anticipated that I would but still wanted to share a post with my favorite outfit that I wore while in Boise.
Where we stayed – Hotel 43. (review coming soon)
I booked using JIFU Travel and saved $191.83 on this booking for a 3 night stay. If you’re curious about the site and have upcoming travel feel free to try it out on a buddy pass. Where we ate –
Breakfast/Brunch – Goldy’s Breakfast Bistro and Goldy’s Coffee Shop
Two things I loved about Goldy’s. 1. They have oat milk so I could treat myself to my favorite oat milk lattes. 2. They have a special rose champagne that was amazing!
Lunch – Costa Vida
We only had one real lunch while in Boise. Since on Friday we did brunch at Goldy’s. I was craving guacamole so on our hour lunch break during the conference Nicole and I went to Costa Vida for some yummy Mexican food. I ordered the grilled shrimp tacos with an extra order of guacamole. It hit the spot but I must say it’s no comparison to the Mexican food we have available to us at home.
Dinner – Chandlers, Eureka!, Room Service (from Chandlers)
Chandlers was the hotel restaurant and I have to say it was super good. So good we got dinner there two nights out of the three we were in Boise. We ordered room service the first night and the food was so delicious. Nicole ordered the steak sliders and I got the crab cakes and a side of fries. We also enjoyed a bottle of champagne on Saturday night to enjoy while getting ready for the 80’s party.
Eureka! is a chain restaurant that Justin and I love taking Mason to in Cupertino so I was excited to see they had a location in Boise and so close to our hotel too! Since Nicole had never been to one I figured she needed to try it. we ended up ordering a number of their appetizers to share, since we were there during their happy hour specials. I’m happy to report that Nicole liked everything we ordered! I am a huge fan and even though I really wanted to try places that were specific to Boise, I couldn’t resist going to a favorite spot.
