While on my last trip to NY, in between fashion shows at NYFW, my mom and I had planned a night out on Broadway. We saw two back to back shows one on Broadway and one off-broadway. I packed clothes that I felt screamed New York and this outfit made me feel like I was walking on the wild side, perfect for seeing Wicked and the Anna Wintour and Kim Kardashian inspired show called Ryan Raftery is the Most Powerful Woman in Fashion. Prior to leaving I felt I didn’t have enough New York appropriate clothes, any reason to pick up a few new things for the trip, so I did some last minute shopping. I saw this top from Line & Dot and thought this would work perfect for a night out. I love a good animal print and paired with one of my favorite trends, the crop top, there was no convincing needed to get me to press purchase. I’m not one to show off too much midriff so I always like to pair my crop tops with either a high waisted skirt or layered over another blouse or dress breathing new life into an old favorite. This 5th & Mercer skirt was a piece I had been eyeing for a little while. I love the asymmetrical hemline, angled zipper, and python leather band at the bottom. I could visualize these two as a pair and couldn’t wait to hit the city in an outfit I wouldn’t normally wear but felt still worked with my personal style and not take me too out of my comfort zone. I wore them with my go-to and favorite leather jacket and my Manolo’s. I felt very “city girl” in this outfit 😉
