For whatever reason I’m not one to wear sweatshirts out of the house. Other than this embellished JoA sweatshirt, you won’t find one hanging in my closet or folded in a dresser drawer. I tend to wear sweaters, capes, or ponchos when dressing casually. Back in the day though, that was not the case at all. For my first job I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch and back then I wore sweatshirts all the time and with anything, jeans to mini skirts. {On a total side note that’s how I snagged my husband 😉 Our first encounter I was wearing a hot pink mini from Abercrombie to a party in high school which got his attention, we got to talking…and the rest is history.} After my days at Abercrombie I graduated from their casual California wear and into wearing designer labels like ella moss, splendid, trina turk, joes jeans, etc. It was then that I found this hooded sweater. It’s a dressed up version of a sweatshirt. The thin material makes it perfect for layering without added bulk, which I love. This hooded sweater has been with me for years, almost a decade actually so I’d say it was a well spent investment into my closet.
Sweater: Trina Turk, similar. Top: c/o Grayson, similar. Jeans: Current Elliott, similar. Shoes: Alexander Wang, loving these and these (both pairs are on sale!). Handbag: Burberry, similar and less expensive option.
