I had the opportunity last week to have a LaseMD laser facial thanks to Lutronic, the company that makes the LaseMD laser. I’d never had a laser facial before so I was super curious but also hesitant because I’m not the best at trying new things. I like to get facials, but I tend to stick to the basics. What excited me about getting a LaseMD laser facial were the projected results. I’ve always had fairly good complexion. I’ve been told I have young skin. But, I do have some redness and discoloration, and I feel like my pores could always be smaller. With the LaseMD laser, it’s supposed to help with all those skin concerns.
Just like with getting my eyebrows microbladed, they numb the area (in this case my entire face) before the treatment. I sat with numbing cream on my face for 30 minutes. It’s was an interesting sensation because the cream was very cooling. It also felt weird around my mouth as the numbing cream started to kick in. The laser treatment itself took less than 10 minutes.
My skin was definitely red right after the facial. It looked like I had a sunburn. That’s totally normal and something they said to expect might last up to a few days post treatment. For me, the redness was almost gone the next day. I had washed my skin with a mild cleanser as soon as I got home (as recommended) and applied my Juice Beauty moisturizer after my skin was dry. The following day my skin felt like sandpaper. I wasn’t shocked because I was told that would happen. It wasn’t too noticeable, even without makeup on. I was told to stay away from wearing makeup for the first few days to help prevent breakouts.
On day 5 I went back to using my Clarisonic Mia again. And after a week it was back to my usual skincare routine. The staff at Refined Dermatology where I got my LaseMD laser facial have been so nice. They checked up on me two days after my treatment to make sure everything was going well. Everything they said would happen to my skin post treatment did so nothing was alarming. I felt prepared to care for my skin appropriately after my laser facial and already have a number of other skincare treatments I want to try at Refined Dermatology.
My skins texture feels like it has improved a little bit, it’s so smooth! There still seems to be some redness but my skin is looking a little more uniform (even if it’s hard to tell in these pictures). I feel like after another treatment or two the results would be drastic from my before and after pictures. Has anyone else gotten a LaseMD laser facial? What did you think of your results?!
Thank you so much to Lutronic for the opportunity to try out their LaseMD laser and to Refined Dermatology for providing excellent service!
And as always, thank you so much for stopping by the blog today!
