I rarely tell you that you NEED to get something because we all have very different taste when it comes to our personal style. But that being said, this velvet jumpsuit is something I think will work for all body types and it’s perfect for Spring! I bought this for my recent trip to LA for the Create & Cultivate conference. I was looking for something to wear to the happy hour the night before the conference. I am a big fan of French Connection and when I spotted this velvet jumpsuit at Nordstrom I knew it would be perfect.
First off this teal color was on sale (sadly it’s only available in a size 6 here and a size 0 here) which is always a positive since I have a limited budget each month for clothing and second I couldn’t get over how pretty the lace detail on the back was. It’s a classic cut on top and I love the wide legs. If you’re petite it totally works with heels and I even plan to style it soon with flats and/or sandals so you can see how you can dress it down as well. Versatility in my closet is key and I think this jumpsuit is totally versatile.
These sandals totally remind me of the old fashioned candy buttons! I think they’re super fun and were the perfect playful compliment to this jumpsuit. I know I’ll be wearing them so much this Spring and Summer. They’re super comfortable which is great for wearing all day long. I broke them in while in LA and my feet didn’t hurt at all. I think these sandals are just as much of a closet must as this jumpsuit!!
So why do YOU need this? Because, it looks and feels amazing! I felt like I was wearing pajamas but looked super chic and put together. It’s something you will get a lot of wear out of because you can style it so many different ways (especially if you choose to get it in black) and it will transition nicely from Spring and Summer to Fall and Winter if you wear it with ankle boots and put a jacket or coat over it. The neckline lends itself to wearing a statement necklace but you could also layer delicate necklaces for a totally different look. The lace back detail is just so pretty, how could you pass it up! This velvet jumpsuit works if your personal style is girly, edgy, classic, or modern because it is a blank canvas in front with a cut that is super flattering on many different body types.
