Happy Monday! I hope you have been enjoying the holiday weekend. This weekend was my last push to make sure I have everything I need for NYFW. I thankfully took advantage of some Labor Day sales and rush shipping to get some last minute items. I didn’t want to bother you all with a weekend post rounding up Labor Day sales this year. Maybe it’s just me overthinking things, but I never want to come off as too salesy! So many times I feel pressured as a blogger to push sales that are going on. When I do, I honestly do it for your benefit in case you’re on the hunt for something. Because, I always prefer to shop on sale over paying full price, so I figure you all are probably the same!
I also get endless emails about the sales that are happening, so it is easy for me to share. But, then I think if there’s a brand or store you love and shop often, I’m sure you’re receiving the emails too. So, what would drive you to then come to my blog and shop the sale from my site as opposed to straight from that email? These are the things that I think about, from time to time. What value do I add if you’re already getting bombarded with info on sales in your email? But maybe you’re not getting those emails…so you choose to check my blog to see if I feel there are any sales worth shopping. If that’s you, please let me know! That feedback is super valuable to me to better serve you.
So here’s a question, something you can think about and answer in the comments if you feel so inclined. What makes you want to shop from my blog posts? Is it seeing how I’ve style a piece? Letting you know what pieces I currently own that are now on sale? Or is it because I’ve compiled a list of all the sales going on in one place?
Are you aware that by clicking on a link in my blog post before you shop that you’re supporting me in two ways: 1. by showing my blog drives traffic to retailers sites and 2. by helping me earn a small commission off your purchase with no charge to you? This is one easy way you can show your support for me and my business and help me keep Have Need Want up and running full-time. Ok I must admit that came off a little salesy, didn’t it?!
Anyway, my super casual Labor Day outfit has been a recent go-to. This thermal top I found comes in a few fall colors and literally is under $25! I was a little wary of the quality before I ordered it but was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. It’s super oversized. I’m wearing a small and there’s lots of room to tuck the shirt into my jeans (one of my favorite styling tricks). PS these jeans are super similar to my Paige jeans that I’ve had for a while but these have great stretch to them and are so comfortable. I’ve been wanting a new pair of denim that’s more comfortable and so I was happy to find these Joe’s Jeans in my size! These sneakers are also new in and I bought them with NYFW in mind. I wanted at least one pair of super comfortable shoes. These platform sneakers will help give some height to my petite 5’2-3/4″ self and are a great alternative to booties and heels when my feet are tired and need a little rest.
Top: Amazon Fashion. Jeans: Joe’s Jeans. Sneakers: Vince (on MAJOR sale with limited sizing). Handbag: Salvatore Ferragamo. Sunglasses: Tom Ford c/o SmartBuyGlasses.
