This post might be more geared towards my Bay Area readers but I am sure if you’re out of the area there is probably someone similar in your area who is a menswear tailor creating custom suits, ties, shirts, and more. So this year for the holidays I decided to do something extra special for Justin. It’s taking him out from behind the camera lens and in front of the camera for today’s post. Thanks to Devan Rosdahl of Devan Vincent, a Bay Area private client menswear tailor, Justin was able to experience designing his own fitted button-down shirt. He was able to select the fabric as well as all the details for his custom designed button-down. This seriously is a great gift idea for your guy, even if he typically is pretty casually dressed, like Justin is. It’s something he will appreciate for many years to come and it’s made specifically for him. This past weekend we went to Devan’s showroom in Burlingame for Justin’s fitting where he was measured, able to see samples of styles he could have for his shirt, and Devan talked him through all the options. We had a great time looking through all the fabrics and selecting one that would look really sharp on Justin. He ended up going for a more casual check fabric is blue and brown with a European monogram. The lead time is usually 5-6 weeks to receive your custom shirt so you may want to still put something else underneath the Christmas tree but it will be worth the wait.
