I can’t believe how quickly the temps have dropped lately. It seems like fall is rapidly approaching us here in Santa Cruz. I purchased this ruffle floral romper a few weeks back knowing that summer was coming to an end soon. The floral print and color combo screams fall but rompers are typically a summer item. So, I figured I’d share how I’d style this piece to transition into fall.
I’m all about these rust suede booties I got during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. They’re fully back in stock and a total staple for fall. This color seems to work so well with so much. Since the days are cooling down but not so cold you need to wear tights, I paired my floral romper with my booties for a recent lunch date. I could see this outfit looking great with a fun pair of tights. Maybe try and find either blush, red, orange, or navy since those are the major colors in the floral print. They’ll all go great with the rust suede sock booties since it’s a neutral.
I thought about wearing my cognac leather crossbody bag with this outfit but quickly realized that it would blend in too much and I needed something to pop. That’s why I used my Gucci bag. The creamy white leather is a nice punch of brightness that this fall transition look needed as were my bold black sunnies. My Burgundy leather tear drop earrings have been on repeat a lot lately as I’m loving how this color compliments my fall inspired outfits. Who else tends to wear the same accessories over and over again for a while before switching it back up?
