There are some items you purchase knowing most likely you’ll only wear it once maybe twice. For example, a cocktail dress or other formal wear. You don’t want to be seen wearing them same thing to multiple events, do you? One way to extend the life of an otherwise single wear item is to change the look and therefore the purpose (I hope I’m making sense here).
A sheer formal dress can be dressed down for a work week outfit or a normal night out by pairing it with more casual clothing. Here, I chose to wear my black sheer high-low dress with a cashmere crew neck sweater, fun patterned tights and one of my favorite heels by Alexander Wang. To dress this down even further, I’d suggest wearing this with boots.
