A camel coat is a closet staple. I can hardly believe it took me so long to add one to my wardrobe. I’ve had a light grey one for years, first seen on the blog here, that I absolutely love and still wear to this day. But, a camel coat is still a must-have item.
I love styling neutral outfits and have found that I have a lot more options to do that with my camel coat…maybe that’s because I have a lot more camel and tan in my closet than I do grey, at least for layering pieces.
How to Style a Camel Coat –
1. Wear with neutrals like tan, grey, black, or navy.
2. Wear with skinny jeans.
3. Layer over a sweater, turtleneck, or v-neck tee.
4. Style casually with flats for work or travel.
5. Wear with neutral heels to add length. It’s great for work or going out for dinner.
6. Style with a belt and front tuck your top. This helps to draw the eye in and help you to appear narrow even with the coat adding weight to your outfit.
7. Wear with a dress that’s either shorter or longer for a chic evening look.
8. Wear with an all camel outfit for a great monochrome look.
9. Layer a pop of color underneath to create a bold outfit.
10. Wear with a belt over the coat to keep it closed and still have some waist definition.
Would you like me to create a post where I style a different outfit for each of these styling tips, or is the info I wrote down in this post enough for you to get an idea of what I mean? Let me know in the comments!!
