Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and were able to relax and recharge. We had a very eventful weekend celebrating multiple birthdays which was a lot of fun but also a little exhausting. Not to mention, I’ve been lacking in the sleep department. I don’t know if it’s a thing or not but I feel like Mason is going through a 19 month sleep regression. All last week we had 3am wake ups and on Friday night he woke up 4 times (12:15am, 1:30am, 2:20am, and 3:30am)!! I literally was up the entire time since before I could fall back asleep he was awake again. Not to mention that Lexie threw up in bed somewhere in-between those wake ups. Saturday was the first good night sleep I’ve had in a while and I think that is mainly because we had so much going on Mason wiped himself out! Also, he didn’t nap during the afternoon so I’m sure that had something to do with it. I know I’m not alone in the sleep deprivation department but I’m sure ready for Mason to get some kind of normal when it comes to nap times and/or sleeping through the night.
Anyway, Sunday was spent getting ready for the week! I was able to get all the laundry done. Washed on Saturday and folded and put away on Sunday. That rarely happens so I felt super accomplished by that. I ironed all of Justin’s shirts and pants for the week too, so now I don’t have to do the ironing nightly for the following day. Another, major win for my productivity since that also never happens. I also finally threw away all the old metal hangers ( collected from our dry-cleaning) that drive me nuts and replaced them with basic white hangers (from Target) and now our closet is uniform. It’s the small things that make me happy!
I was able to get all the grocery shopping done too, with Mason as my assistant. I feel really good about everything we were able to do this weekend. Play hard and work hard so hopefully the week will go smoothly. I hope you all were able to have a fun and productive weekend too!
But now let me quickly chat about this outfit. I picked up the shorts and shirt during one of my Target shopping trips. I tell you, it’s almost impossible for me not to stop and check out the clothes while I’m there. Something always catches my eye and for the price it hard for me not to look! I’ve already worn these shorts a couple of times and love the fit and feel of them. The lace up detail gives these shorts some style and interest. I clearly have a thing for lace up details just like I have with statement sleeves because I have been wearing a lot of pieces lately with lace ups like this dress. The only issue I have is that they wrinkle so easily. As soon as I sit down they’re wrinkled.
This stripe top is just so cute. I love a good stripe and this top fits well and can be worn so many ways. I also love the “hey you” embroidered on it. One of my favorite ways to accessorize for spring is with pops of color. To pull the pink out of the top I paired it with these beaded earrings and fun layered tassel necklace since they both have little bits of pink in them.
