This Summer I know one things for sure and that’s what my Summer uniform will be! I’ve already worn these distressed white denim shorts more times than I can count and the weather is just finally starting to warm up here along the coast. While I love to dress up and share fun outfits on the blog, those tend to be more for special occasions. On a regular day you’ll find me in a much more casual look. What I love about this outfit is that it’s such a simple and easy outfit but looks so put together because of all the details. You could wear regular sandals or flip flops but these embellished sandals add a nice touch of glam to any outfit. The delicate lace and pleats on my cami give a soft, romantic feel. And then of course, my distressed white denim shorts have that edgy, cool girl vibe to them.
Mixing feminine, glam, and edgy together is one of my favorite styles! My style definitely doesn’t fit into just one category. If I had to describe my style it would be elevated California chic. Which to me means, a blend of chic, feminine pieces styled with a twist. Like pairing something a bit more edgy with something soft or mixing prints and textures.
I have a degree in interior design and so I look at fashion a lot like I look at home decor. You’re layering pieces together to create a cohesive feel, that’s genuinely you. A pop of something unexpected in a room is just as powerful as a pop of color or an unexpected print combo in your outfit.
