Have you started to plan for NYE yet?! Honestly, I have not, only because up until a few days ago, I thought that my husband was going to be working NYE again this year. BUT, I have some super exciting news to share. Not only, is he finally off probation (as of TODAY), but he bid a station and different shift schedule to be working alongside a really good friend of ours, and HE GOT IT!!!! So starting right NOW, he’s on a different shift than he has been since starting with Santa Clara County Fire. And now, we can start to plan for NYE since he’ll be home!
I picked up this sparkly silver and black sequin cami for the holidays and think it’s the perfect NYE top. Before Mason, I was all about wearing dresses or rompers on NYE. I didn’t care about if I would be cold. I just wanted to look super cute and wear something special that I would only wear on NYE. But now, I’m more practical and all about wearing tops and bottoms. I want to comfortable and not too cold but still look chic. I also am all about buying clothes that I can wear more than once, hence the reason I’m not sporting a sequin mini dress. Though secretly wishing I had this dress in my closet!
I’ve spent the past few New Years at home on NYE since Mason was so little and Justin had to work. But I still wanted to be festive. In the past, I’ve worn sequin leggings on NYE. So this year, I’m thinking to switch it up and wear a sequin cami with velvet and faux leather leggings. Not that different, I’m well aware 😉 I’ll still be super comfy since I’m wearing leggings but with this silver sparkly sequin cami, I’ll be shining as much as the New Years lights! 🤩
