I’d say 2019 was a pretty awesome year for the Adneys! There was a lot of change that happened. I started a part-time job as a brand rep and Mason changed preschools in the summer. Justin continued working as a fireman getting through his 18 month probationary period.
I landed some of my favorite collaborations to date and was able to bring my family along for the fun, for some of them. I love when I can incorporate Justin and Mason into what I love to do. Taking the family to Great America on two separate occasions this year was a highlight. Once in summer and then again for the kick-off of Winterfest! We had a blast during both our visits. Getting to have these fun and memorable experiences all while creating content was such a blessing.
We enjoyed another staycation at The Clement hotel and was able to celebrate Mason’s 3rd birthday in style and with 5 star treatment! Justin and I got a weekend away thanks to The Four Seasons Palo Alto and on another occasion, a date night for the launch of their Après Ski!
My biggest trip ever for the blog was to Costa Rica earlier this year to attend Sweat Reset‘s first ever luxury fitness and wellness retreat. It was such an honor to be selected to parter with them. The trip was truly amazing. I shared daily during the trip on social media and then recapped everything once I got home. I hope I’m able to do more blogging trips like this in the future!
We took a family trip to Hawaii which was so much fun! We stayed at the Alohilani Resort on Oahu and got an ocean view room all thanks to the savings I received from my wholesale travel club. It was seriously the best trip we’ve taken in a long time. Truly memorable! From hiking to waterfalls and botanical gardens, seeing natural wonders like Lanai Lookout, to visiting the Dole Plantation, we made the most of our week long family trip.
We also snuck in a short weekend getaway to Tahoe, again staying at a 5 star resort on a 3 star budget thanks to JIFU!
As far as the biggest blessing/accomplishment of 2019 for our family was that Justin just recently (as in a few weeks ago) completed his 18 month probationary period as a fire fighter and is now 100% with the department. I feel like this has been such a huge feat for not just him but the whole family. We have all worked together to help make this happen for him. Well he’s done all the hard work and we’ve just been there for support. I couldn’t be more proud of him!
I hope you all have a very Happy New Years 🥳 Eve this evening and a wonderful start to 2020!! A new decade means even more possibilities!
As always, thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! I hope you enjoyed the post!
