One trend that started in 2015 but definitely is in full force in 2016 is the cold shoulder top. In 2016 we’re taking it just one step further. Now, all brands are jumping on board and from casual tops to blouses and dresses there are cold shoulder options everywhere. Off the shoulder options have been on trend for quite some time and they are continuing to stick around. I recently tried wearing a cold shoulder top and while I was afraid it was going to make my shoulders look too broad I really liked the way it looked on me once I tried it on. I’ve had some off the shoulder tops that ended up leaving marks on the sides of my arms and after a long day of wearing it, started to really bother me. I think that’s why I’m really liking this cold shoulder trend because it doesn’t constrict or bother my arms. But there are good options for off the shoulder tops without elastic that are made of softer fabric; I like those off the shoulder tops too! So I’d like to know have you jumped on the cold shoulder trend or are you all about the off-the-shoulder options?
As you can see, both trends are still going strong! It’s 2018 and I don’t see these designs going anywhere, anytime soon. I have so many off the shoulder and cold shoulder tops and sweaters in my closet. One of my favorite sweatshirts is cold shoulder that I bought last year. You can see from these posts here, here, and here that I’ve clearly embraced the trend since 2016.
We’re heading into the New Year and I am looking forward to seeing where fashion takes us.
