This ruffle cold-shoulder top by Marled is packed with style and all the things that I love; ruffles, statement sleeves, and cold-shoulder. I got this top in a medium so that it could wear it a bit oversized and belt it if I wanted to make it more fitted. I borrowed this belt from my NYFW roomie Lavenda of Lavenda’s Closet. PS this girl’s got a closet to die for!! She also took almost all of my pictures during NYFW and I took pictures of her in return.
It’s so nice to meet people who are willing and wanting to do this. I’d never met Lavenda before so I am just so incredibly happy that we not only got along but I feel like I’ve made a genuine friend from this trip in her. Our last night in New York we attended an event that was hosted by Vogue and Free People. It was to promote their fall outerwear collection. I had the best time and was able to meet so many nice people at the event.
My morning started out great, but I had, had an issue in the afternoon with not getting into a show that I had a ticket to because they were at capacity before I was able to get to the front of the line. I’d never had that happen before and it was to a designer I see every fashion week I’ve attended so to say I was a little bummed would be an understatement.
Thankfully the Tresemme team came to my rescue and while I waited for my friends who arrived before me and were able to get into the show, I got my hair re-done. I’d like to call this hairstyle my unicorn hair! My stylist did a fishtail braid that she wrapped around the top of my head almost at the same place as my top knot from the other day. Then she created two ponytails, curled, then tossed it out so that it was soft and wavy. I always enjoy going out of my comfort zone when it comes to my hair styles during NYFW. It’s a fun way to try new things and see what works.
