I bought this pearl embellished sweatshirt so I could wear it for Thanksgiving. It feels super festive and looks great with a pair of jeans (like I wore here) or tucked into a skirt for dressier look. I knew I’d get a lot of use out of it, if I can just keep Mason from pulling the faux pearl beads out. Which as any mama of littles knows is no easy task!
Every year for my birthday, well the last few years at least, my birthday gift from my mom has been to have a girls day in Carmel. We do lunch, followed by some wine tasting, and of course some shopping as well. Carmel has so many cute shops and restaurants as well as numerous tasting rooms. This year we went to Seventh & Dolores for lunch which was amazing. The last time we were in Carmel we had wanted to go since I hadn’t seen it before but they weren’t open yet. After lunch we went to Caraccioli Cellars, which was also new for us and we loved it. They had some sparkling wine which is of course my favorite as well as a delicious rose. I ended up getting a bottle to bring home.
Many times when you think of a festive holiday look you think red, green, plaids, velvet, maybe some feather accents, and sequins. I feel like this monochromatic look which does include crushed velvet booties and a metallic pleated skirt is super festive without any pops of color.
