I’m a fan of the Peter-Pan collar and when I spotted this Peter-Pan collar shift dress at Target back in November I knew it would be a great addition to my wardrobe. The shift dress is perfect for concealing my problem areas (post-pregnancy) and was perfect for hiding my food baby during the holidays. I love the key hole detail and the print is perfect for transitioning from fall to spring. The colors work perfectly with my over the knee boots.
Funny story about the boots…I’ve been wanting these OTK boots from Stuart Weitzman FOREVER and I was just having a hard time justifying the cost so when they went on sale for Cyber Monday I couldn’t not get them, especially since my size usually sells out before I can put them in my shopping cart! They arrived and I was soooo excited to open them up I put them directly on before heading out to Safeway to have some “mom time” to do some food shopping. A little side note: I always make food shopping alone a little more special now by getting a coconut latte at the Starbucks inside our Safeway to enjoy while shopping. So anyway, on my first outing out in my boots I get a compliment on them while I’m walking down one of the isles. I was so happy someone noticed my boots. Now here’s where the funny part comes in, in all my excitement about getting the boots I didn’t even notice that they were the wrong color! I got a call from Stuart Weitzman in Texas that they had accidentally shipped me the wrong color boots and that they would be sending me out the correct pair as soon as I mailed back the ones I had received. I of course had to let her know I had already worn them (same night as received) but she was still ok with the exchange since it was their mistake. She did say I could keep that pair if I preferred. Now I went back and forth a bunch before deciding to keep the pair I had in hand. I really had wanted the darker pair but after seeing this pair in person and having Justin actually comment on how much he liked them I figured no point in risking him not feeling the same way about the pair originally ordered. So that’s how I ended up with this camel color suede boot instead of a more dark chestnut color.
Just giving you all a heads up you’ll be seeing a lot of these boots in upcoming outfit posts since they look so nice with so many of my sweaters!
