Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fulfilling weekend. Justin and I tried to take full advantage on Friday night as we got another date night. My in-laws watched Mason overnight again so we could go to dinner and have a quiet evening in. Justin leaves for Okinawa next Friday and so this weekend was the last few quality days we could spend together as a family before he’s gone for a couple of weeks. Our weekend was full of activities so I’m glad we had the time Friday night to have a leisurely dinner and a slow night in.
I wore this off-the-shoulder top last week with my new skinny boyfriend jeans that I got during the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale. Isn’t the top just so cute with the tiered statement sleeves! I love the boho-inspired smocking across the top which makes this striped off-the-shoulder poplin blouse a fave for summer! One thing I typically don’t like about off the shoulder tops (though I’m still a huge fan) is that they ride up when you move your arms, which as a mom is going to happen often. This blouse because of the sleeves and the smocking doesn’t ride up which is a huge plus for me. It’s also much more comfortable than the typical elastic across the top because it doesn’t cut into your arms when you move.
These wedges are surprisingly comfortable for the price. I can wear them all day long, walking around, standing up, and holding Mason. They’re almost identical to a pair I had been eyeing from Joie a while back. They now have the same style with a fun dyed raffia top strap. I might have to get them in powder raffia.
