You all seem to love when I share my shopping hauls, so today I’m sharing my latest Target haul try-on. I did a video for IG TV which I posted on Wednesday along with the try-on in my stories. But now, I’ve got the post ready to share even more details about the pieces and which ones I ended up keeping and which ones I decided to go back.
First of all, let me just say that I ordered all these pieces with the intention to share them with you but not really to keep them. I like to scout the internet from time to time and what catches my eye, I like to share with you. I teamed up with a group of bloggers to all share a try-on session at the same time on Instagram so that our audiences could see what each of us picked out to try on. Yes, I could have just gone into my local Target and did a try-on session in the dressing room…but sometimes with a toddler that’s not so easy. So instead, I choose to order everything online and then share with you all as I was trying it on for the first time.
First Look: First off let me just say that I absolutely love this vest and pants but, I was bummed at the sizing. I normally like to wear a size small in The Who What Wear collection but this vest was a bit too roomy. At first, I thought it would be better so that I could transition this into fall with a long sleeve top underneath but are second consideration it was just a bit too big. I ordered a size 4 in the pants because I am still in between sizes. These are pull-on pants which I didn’t realize, even though it literally says it in the item name 🤦♀️. I thought they had a zipper and that’s why I went with the size 4 instead of the 2. Had I read the description, I would have known to order a size 2 in them because they have a good amount of stretch to them, being pull-on and all, and after just trying them on, I could already feel them sliding down.
Second Look: How cute is this striped sweatshirt?! I thought it looked absolutely darling online. While I don’t have any issues with it, I decided it just wasn’t something I really needed, so it went back. The pants are another Who What Wear piece that I ordered. Unlike the black pants that had too much stretch, these had no stretch at all. I loved the look but not the fit. It was like they were high waisted but a little too short in the front rise for me. They sadly also went back because I really wanted them to work, but they just didn’t fit me right. The woven mules are also from Target and a total steal! I liked that they had the black piping detail. I feel like they will be able to transition from summer to fall very easily.
Third Look: You’ll recognize this look if you read my post the other day. This is the graphic tee I styled for day to night. And this skirt is what I wore for the night look. I ordered the tee in a size small but could have easily gotten away with the xs. I ordered the skirt in a size 4 and it fit perfectly. I’m pretty straight up and down so my waist doesn’t get too much narrower than my hips. I love the vibrant pink and the asymmetrical hem. Both pieces are fun and very versatile.
Fourth Look: I have been wanting to get a slip dress for a while but while I love the silky ones, they’re not too practical with a toddler. I was so happy to see that Target had a few options this season that are longer and not silk/silky material. I quickly threw this on over my graphic tee and like how it looks styled this way. I plan to do a quick video showing you a few different ways that you can wear a slip dress to give you some more outfit inspiration…be on the lookout for that coming to IG TV soon!
Fifth Look: Here’s that same slip dress but in the snakeskin print. I ended up deciding to return the snakeskin one even though I am a big animal print fan. I guess I figured, I’d probably wear the fall floral version more only because I can wear it with so much more pieces that are already in my closet. PS both slips are a size small.
What did you think of this try-on haul? Did I make the right decisions on what I kept and what I returned?! Let me know in the comments!
As always, thank you so much for stopping by the blog today!
