I seriously cannot believe that it’s Thanksgiving tomorrow!! I mean, has this month flown by for anyone else?! I’ve been seeing so many people already decorating for the holidays, and well I’m in the group of people who wait till after Thanksgiving before decorating for Christmas. I did buy some gifts already but mainly because they’re personalized and are going to take a while to receive. Definitely didn’t want Mason to miss out on a special gift because I’m shopping too last minute!
As you probably noticed, I haven’t even posted a gift guide yet. I’ve been falling super behind on them this year but I do have my holiday shop tab in my menu that I’ve been adding items to as I go. I’ll be using those to compile my gift guides so if you’re ready to get your shopping on right now, then I’d suggest you take a look there! I will have my Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales post for you launching at midnight on Friday with all my favorite sales to shop so you’ll have one spot to find out about all the best deals.
But, I couldn’t pass up getting into the holiday spirit wearing this tartan blazer. It caught my eye immediately when I saw it on Amazon. PS I’ve got an Amazon shop page in case you didn’t know with lots of great gift ideas as well as those everyday items we purchase using Amazon Prime! You can shop directly from my site this holiday season, as we all buy at least a few gifts on Amazon (am I right!) just like with my affiliate links, I will make a small commission off those purchases with no additional cost to you! So here’s the direct link in case you feel like supporting my blog in that way this holiday season!
Anyway, this blazer makes me feel like a holiday gift! Doesn’t it kind of remind you of gift wrap and ribbons?! Maybe I’m just weird but I think it does. These plaid pumps I’ve had for years and save them for this time of year. They work perfectly with the blazer because it’s not an exact match but they definitely go together. If you ever hear someone say you can’t mix plaids just tell them they’re wrong! My bow tee also makes for a holiday ready layer you can dress down with jeans or wear tucked into a sequin skirt for a dressier look. What do you think about this outfit? Would you wear it for the holidays? I think it’s a nice alternative to a fancy dress, especially if your family doesn’t get super dressed up for the holidays at home.
{In full transparency, I do need to mention that this blazer I ordered did not arrive in the best of condition the first go round. Amazon has amazing return policy so of course I was able to send it back and get it replaced. I just wanted to share that because I’d hate for you to order and receive a defect (like I did) and think that was a quality I’m sharing with you. I’ve ordered numerous pieces from Amazon, most recently this sweater dress. Amazon fashion is hit or miss but thankfully if you are not happy with the item you can return for a full refund or have it replaced for another one.}
Blazer: Allegra K (love this option and this one too). Tee: J.O.A. Jeans: Joe’s Jeans. Belt: Tory Burch (reversible). Pumps: Charles David, old (alternative plaid options here and here). Handbag: Gucci (can also buy it here and here). Sunglasses: Tom Ford c/o.
