I went from being a full time executive assistant to a work from home mom and so my daily wardrobe has drastically changed as one might imagine that it would. While I don’t miss going into an office Monday-Friday I do miss getting dressed up for work. As a fashion blogger and lover of all things girly it can be hard to be inside most of the day wearing my loungewear so I cherish every opportunity that I get to dress up my everyday outfits. This modern work blazer from Tart Collections is such a fun piece that really transforms an otherwise basic outfit. The print is so fresh and fun but neutral enough that its not too overpowering. I love the sleeve detail and that subtle hint of magenta. These high waist jeans have become my mom style staple because they hold me in and make me look slimmer.
As a refresher, my New Years Resolution (or shall I say challenge) was to not buy any new clothes for the first 6 months of the year. Mainly because I was able to re-subscribe to the unlimited program with Rent the Runway and so I figured if I am going to have a rotating closet there really shouldn’t be a need to purchase anything else and also because my body is still not back to my pre-baby weight or shape (my hips are still much wider than before). But, as my body starts getting back to my pre-baby weight and shape I’ve had to purchase a new pair of jeans because my other pair just doesn’t fit right anymore. So I’ve made one clothes purchase but it was out of necessity rather than a want.
