One of our must stop places in Oahu was the Dole Plantation. We knew that Mason would love it. So much of what we did on this family trip was outdoorsy and so it was a nice change of pace to do something less strenuous. They have a number of activities to do including a Pineapple Express train tour, plantation garden tour, and pineapple garden maze. They also have the yummiest pineapple soft serve which we couldn’t resist getting. Mason ended up falling asleep halfway through the train ride. While that part was definitely for him, Justin and I still found it very enjoyable. We both liked hearing about the history of Dole.
If you’re planning a family vacation to Oahu and have younger kids, I’d highly recommend it. Even though we went in the afternoon and it was fairly busy it wasn’t overcrowded and Mason really enjoyed checking everything out.
