I’m going to start by setting the scene. Enjoying a champagne brunch on the rooftop of Toshi’s penthouse at the Flatiron Hotel, gorgeous New York City views all around, and a spring fashion presentation by the lovely Alexandra Lin; a great way to start a Sunday, if you ask me. Throughout the afternoon models were walking around showing off Alexandra’s latest Spring collection. The collection consisted of separates and two-piece outfits in pale pink and lime and a lovely floral print in the same color combo. Crop tops, crop jackets, high-waist trousers and skirts, her collection could definitely be described as feminine, fun, and flirty, all words the designer hopes to create and share with her collections. Then there were these awesome black skinny pants with floral embroidery. They caught my eye and are definitely one of my favorite pieces in the collection. She was the only model with an outfit change so I didn’t get to seem them till the very end. I also loved the bow details in the wrap tops and in the crop jacket. One other small bit of information I found out towards the end of the presentation was that Alexandra designed all of the jewelry that was worn with her pieces. I was blown away. I loved so many of the jewelry pieces she used to style her models, especially her gold floral cuff.

It was such a pleasure to meet Alexandra Lin and her daughter, who in many ways inspired and pushed her to start her new career as a fashion designer. Her pieces as very wearable, and I could see how through mixing and matching her separates you can create endless ensembles unique to you!
