After years of being away I’ve finally made it back to New York Fashion Week! Planning for a much-anticipated trip, like this one, can be tough. I am such a last minute packer. I tend to change my mind a lot when it comes to deciding what to wear in my day-to-day, I can’t plan my outfit the night before to save time in the morning, let alone deciding what to wear each day for a week long trip and one as big as Fashion Week. Black and white dressing isn’t a staple of mine but when in New York, dress like a New Yorker. I packed a lot of black and white pieces that could easily be interchanged depending on my mood of the moment. I’ve been into fringe lately and hadn’t quite figured how I was going to integrate it into my wardrobe until I found this fridge waist belt from BCBG. It arrived the day before I left and really I don’t know what I would have done without it. The fringe belt really topped off this look, taking it from a classic work appropriate peplum top and pencil skirt to high fashion look worthy of New York Fashion Week. And then the caged heels and Burberry handbag! I loved this outfit and thought it was a great way to kick off Fashion Week. What do you think? Was the mix of black and white, metallic caged heels and Crimson handbag on point?
