I had been trying to decide on a theme for our shared room/nursery for Mason and our new baby for the past few weeks and when I couldn't decide on my own I decided to ask Mason what he would want. After giving him a few different options he quickly decided on a safari theme. I think it was definitely the right choice to let him decide since he's sharing the room and I want him to feel like it's still his room too. So while this room isn't a dedicated nursery I still think everything that I've picked so far definitely works for a ... Read more...
Powder Cannon Gender Reveal
I decided that for this baby we would do a gender reveal. We didn't do one with Mason because Justin and I were both at my obgyn appointment for the ultrasound and so we were able to get the news at the same time. MAJOR Parenting Tip For Minimizing In-Store Meltdowns
I had a major parenting win the other day and I just had to share it with all of you! Mason is at the age where his emotions are all over the place. One minute he's excited and happy the next he is having a full blown emotional meltdown. The worst ones happen when we're at Target picking up necessities and he begs to check out the toys. I usually let him as I aim to please and make him happy BUT if we don't leave with a toy more times than not he cries and cries. So, I came up with a plan to hopefully help and guess what, it worked!! ... Read more...
