Can you believe we’re almost half way through the year, and just a few weeks till the 4th of July?! I can’t. I feel like life has been on pause with the coronavirus and shelter in place. But I am excited and hopeful that we can still have fun and celebrate the 4th of July this year, even if it means doing so while social distancing. So today I have teamed up with a great group of bloggers to style this red maxi dress for the 4th of July in my first Chic in Every Shade group post. I wanted to show my dress styled up with heels as well as down with sneakers, so depending on your 4th of July plans I’ve got you covered with this dress. Everything else about this look is the same. Instead of wearing this maxi dress with the waist tie it comes with, I swapped it out for this adjustable belt. I love how it looks with the wider belt as it helps to cinch in my waist a bit. I will say that this dress fits great but there is a lot of fabric in the skirt and so a belt is a must to not make it look like it’s overwhelming my body.
I’ve had my transparent heels for a few years now and I love that the style is still on trend and in stock. These white sneakers were a before quarantine purchase. I know I’ll get a lot of wear out of them and they work perfect with the detail on the sides of my sneakers. Out of these two options, dressed up or down, I’d love to know which look you like best?!
