And just like that July is almost over! This year sure has been a weird one so far. I’m getting all these notifications of what we were doing last year as a family at this time and looking back on all the trips we took, is making me sad that this summer seems to be flying by and besides a camping trip over the 4th of July weekend, we’ve been stuck at home. The weather just like everything else going on has been all over the place. I live for the warm summer days when I can wear my shorts and tanks as well as all my summer dresses. Just a few days ago the weather was amazing and now we’re back to overcast and cold. I guess this year is teaching me to really appreciate the little things. Good days, good weather, good moments, and let everything else go.
I’m super excited because today’s blog post is my second Chic in Every Shade blogger collaboration. We are all styling our favorite pair of distressed denim shorts. I have more than a few pairs that I absolutely love, most of which would be considered splurges, and so I wanted to share a recent affordable find. This pair is from Target and comes in a few different denim washes and different distressing. I like that they are longer in the back to fully cover the booty. This medium wash was the perfect addition to my denim shorts collection and at only $15 a total steal!
This padded shoulder muscle tank is so cute!! Muscle tanks are totally on trend right now and this one will easily transition into fall. My friend Amber started her own clothing line, Amber Richele, just a few months ago and as soon as I saw this muscle tank I knew I needed it! If you’re looking to support a small black women-owned business you should definitely go check her out! This tank looks great dressed up with faux leather pants, as well as dressed down with distressed denim shorts. I just picked up this pair of ruffle-waist joggers and can’t wait for them to arrive so I can style them with this tank for a chic leisure outfit!
