I absolutely love summer, especially the weather, but when it get’s too hot like it does so often in the Peninsula all I want to do is wear lightweight flowy dresses. This maxi dress that I picked up during my last trip to LA, is as soft as your favorite worn in t-shirt. It’s so comfortable I feel like I am wearing pajamas but thankfully it’s not pj’s but rather a casual and sophisticated maxi dress.
That’s why, when planning what to wear to our recent weekend getaway this dress was an easy decision. I love that it’s easy to throw on and looks put together without much effort. The paneling on the skirt of the dress really makes it, along with the open back and exposed zipper. The details in this dress really make it something worth talking about. The mini skirt underneath is genius, without it you could be left exposed because as the wind picks up so does the dress. The panels have great movement but many times that would leave you completely exposed if it was for the mini. The contrast of the exposed zipper in black and the draping of the open cross-slit in the back give it an extra sophisticated touch that’s unexpected. With very minimal accessories this outfit is all set.
I’ve been wearing my new Kluster bracelets a lot lately and that could be because my favorite color is yellow or it could be because they’re just the pop of color a simple outfit needs to take it to the next level. Or it could be both those reasons and that my skin is getting sun kissed and so the yellow works with my tan. No matter what the reason, they were the added touch I needed for our day of wine tasting!
