Now that Summer has come to a close, even if it doesn’t feel like it yet, I have been working on building my fall/winter wardrobe with some key pieces. I found this Buffalo Check blouse from Line & Dot on Shopbop and knew I had to have it. Flannel and plaid are and have been key for me for fall and winter but I haven’t really had much, if anything, in a Buffalo Check before. I love how this top still feels like Summer, I’m holding on to every last day that’s for sure, so I love how I can wear it now but it will definitely transition to Fall. Distressed denim is a favorite of mine, besides the chic skinny jean. I have been wanting to add a pair of distressed shorts to my collection but for some reason didn’t pull the trigger until mid-way through the summer. I love how casual these boyfriend style shorts are and the distressing is amazing, even if my husband doesn’t understand. This outfit would be too casual for a brunch in New York if it wasn’t for my Tibi mules. These are a recent favorite of mine and work with almost anything. They dress up a seemingly causal outfit like this one, work well with a work ensemble, and can add a bit of edge to a dressier look, making them super versatile and on rotation very frequently.
What fall pieces can’t you live without?
