Fall weather can sometimes be a let down from Summer but not Fall style. Getting bundled up in chunky knits, scarves, boots of all heights and styles, long sleeves, not to mention layering, is something fashion bloggers & fashionable women alike look forward to. If you follow many of them it might seem like Fall style is all plaid, it is a season staple but what about all the floral prints that are so popular in Spring and Summer? There is definitely a place for them too!
There are pieces you buy that last the length of a trend and then there are those that last for years and years. This dress by Cynthia Steffe is the latter. I love the details in this dress, the leather patches on the shoulders and elbows and the cinching in the front. This dress can easily be taken from day to night with a swap of your shoes. Similarly with these tan leather boots from Banana Republic, other than re-polishing the leather to bring back it’s natural sheen, these boots have lasted years of wear and still are on constant rotation during the Fall and Winter months. Pairing some of my old Fall favorites with some new pieces always refreshes the look of these well worn items. My cranberry colored Burberry handbag was a great find. It’s the color of the season if you ask me and works as a neutral and adds a great punch of color. This silk floral scarf was a gift from my husband’s colleague who came back from a recent trip to Asia. I love getting gifts from places I can’t go to myself (at least right now), and how sweet that he thought of us while away. The thought is definitely what counts the most, but how great that it goes with almost anything in my Fall wardrobe and brings some floral to my Fall style!
