And just like that, it’s a new year! It’s so crazy how fast time flies. I guess the older we get the faster life seems to go. 2015 was a blur of individual moments that shaped who I am today and have to say that all those moments in 2015 made a pretty good year. It wasn’t without it’s stressful moments (for me there were a lot) but for every moment that might not have been the best there were at least ten others making it all worthwhile.
A new year is the perfect time to reset, reflect and set new goals and priorities and for me there are more than a few things I hope to achieve. I’ve always been this way though, I set the bar high and work as hard as I can to reach that bar. This year has taught me that I have to listen to myself and know when I have hit my limit, in more ways than one. In work, I can’t always take on all the tasks that are asked of me, it’s ok to set boundaries and expectations. There is only so much time in the day and I can’t allow myself to take the stress from work home with me. Unfinished work will be there the next day and thats OK. The biggest thing I think I have learned in 2015 is to accept that doing “it all” is not always possible and to allow myself to relax every now and again rather than run myself into the ground trying to do it all.
I’ve got big plans for Have Need Want, this little corner of the internet of mine, and the beginning of the year will be marking the jumpstart into those new changes. I will be working on these changes behind the scenes and can’t wait to share it with all of you in the upcoming months. I thank every one of you who stops by to read a post to get some outfit inspiration, each visit really means a lot to me, and to those supporters who check back often to see what’s new, I truly value your support. Without all of you, the exciting things ahead wouldn’t be possible. I hope to travel more and stress less, continue doing the things I love and am passionate about. I look forward to more home projects, continuing to add more personal touches to our home. I can’t wait to spend another year with my love, our two yorkies, our family and friends and can’t wait to live all the exciting new chapters in our life that awaits us.
Here are some of my favorite outfits in 2015!
