Happy Spring cleaning! It’s that time of year to organize your home and get rid of unused items. Ever since doing our bathroom remodel we have been tidying up and organizing our home, space by space. I have been really enjoying getting new organization and storage solutions for our home so I figured I should share with you all my top 20 home organization and storage solutions in case you are looking for some for yourself!
1. Acrylic makeup storage – easy to see all the beauty and skincare products that you have and keeps them organized and off the counter.
2. Canvas storage bins – we use them mainly for Mason’s toys so our open shelves in the living room look a little more neat. They do reduce the look of clutter which I like and they fit a good amount of small toys, like Masons toy cars in one bin.
3. Clear Plastic Apothecary Jars – great for storing small bathroom products like q-tips, cotton balls, and round cotton pads.
4. Dresser drawer underwear organizer – love how these make your dresser drawers all neat and tidy and it’s easy to find what you are looking for!
5. Acrylic earring holder – now that I have this I can see all my earrings and have been rotating them a lot more often than I normally do.
6. Large storage bins – we use these to store our holiday decor. They clear plastic ones are a must so you can easily see what is inside each of them without needing to open each one up to find what you’re looking for.
7. Acrylic headband holder – this stackable storage unit displays your headbands as well as has storage for all your hair clips and scrunchies.
8. Socks organizer drawer dividers – just like with your bras and underwear having these make it so much easier to locate a matching pair of socks.
9. Hanging handbag organizer – I have been needing a spot to store all my bags now that we switched out my shoe bookcases for the floating shelves. They’ve been rotating around and taking up space on my dresser so I’m glad I found this storage solution.
10. Dry food storage – I’ve been wanting to pick up some of these dry food storage canisters for a while. I love that they’re air tight. Now that our pantry remodel is done and we went with stained wood finish for the shelves, I’ve been feeling like it would be best to take our dry goods, like pastas, rice, and granola and put them in canisters as opposed to leaving them in their normal packaging.
11. Hanging closet organizer – this is great for folding sweaters but still have them hanging on the closet and out of your drawers. For me, drawer space is super limited as is hanging space in the closet, but I love these for keeping your sweaters folded so they don’t get marks from your hangers on the shoulders.
12. Rolling cart – these are great for storing so many different things. If you have a craft room you could literally store all your supplies in this rolling cart, or if you’re a mom, it’s great for storing your kids toys and be able to tuck it away at night in say, your kids closet, and easy pull it back out again the next day for playtime. You could also store all your beauty and skincare products, tools, the possibilities are endless.
13. Bra organizer – I feel like bras are the hardest to figure out what to do with in your dresser drawers. I have tried to lay mine out flat to keep their shape but they inevitably get twisted and mixed up so easily every time I reach in for a new one. I love this storage solution so they keep each bra separated and easy to see all that you have.
14. Accessory hooks – these are great for hanging your scarves or ties (if you’re a guy). They’re also great for hanging belts so you can see them all in one place. I definitely recommend getting a few of these for you and your significant other, and even for your kids once they start accumulating accessories for their outfits.
15. Lazy Susan 2-tier rack – we have an old version of this that we use for our spices and I love it. It makes it so easy to see all the spices we have and get to the ones we need for each recipe.
16. Under bed storage drawers – there are so many different options for these but I personally like the ones that have wheels on them so it’s easy to roll under and out. If you struggle with small spaces, like we do, I think these are a great option to store more of your things, like seasonal items you don’t need out in your closet year round and you can rotate what’s in there a few times a year.
17. Storage bench – I’ve always been a fan of benches that double up as storage units. We used to have a few ottomans at the foot of our bed that we used for storage and a place to sit when putting on or taking off your shoes.
18. Lift top coffee table – this is one thing that we have absolutely taken advantage of having in our living room. It’s great to have additional storage in an inconspicuous place. Great for storing extra throw blankets!
19. Hanging entry shelf – great for more than just keys! You can store either new mail in the small boxes or other grab and go items you tend to misplace when you get in the house and have nowhere specific to put it. They can now have a home close to the front door or back door whichever way you typically enter into your home.
20. Stacking paper/letter tray – This is a great home office solution to keep your important papers organized that you still need to access before filing away in your desk drawer files. I always suggest finding one that is stackable and is aesthetically pleasing to you since it will be sitting on your desk and something you will be looking at often.
