I have wanted a Peloton bike for a few years but couldn’t justify the price nor did I have a space to put it. After getting into a routine of doing at-home workouts for over a year it was time to set aside some designated space for an at-home gym. Our home is tiny and so that was no easy feat. Luckily with BBG there’s not too much equipment needed and so my at-home gym didn’t require too much space. For the longest time I was working out during nap time in our living room but ever so often it would wake Mason up so I moved into my detached office.
My home office used to be a detached shed that I converted to a man cave for Justin as a surprise for his 30th birthday. But when we were expecting Mason and needed to convert my closet/office into his nursery we moved my office out to the shed. So to prepare for my new Peloton bike we moved some items we were storing in my office to make room. Now, I’ve got a dedicated work and workout space that I love! I’ve had my Peloton for almost a full month and I am HOOKED!!! The classes are so good! I’ve been trying out all the different instructors and every morning that I do my workouts I spend 30-45 minutes on the bike followed by either an arms or abs workout and finish up with some much needed stretching.
All these classes are included in your Peloton subscription along with so many more like yoga! I can’t wait to try all the different class options. They have live classes as well as on-demand and they really don’t feel any different. I love the extra motivation with the leaderboard. And I feel like the instructors are talking directly to me as we’re going through the classes. They’ve really done such a great job filming them. I also feel like I am pushing myself to my limits as opposed to letting myself slack, which is a concern I hear so many say when we talk about at-home workouts and staying motivated. In my opinion, if you are a self motivated person it is easy to stick with it. But even if you need the push that a group workout class offers I feel like you get that with the Peloton subscription.
So if you’ve been on the fence about investing in yourself and your health, I say go for it!! I so wish I would have bought one a while ago as I am loving the classes, how much I sweat each time, and how sore my muscles feel after the workouts. It’s addicting!! And one more thing I wanted to mention about the bike is that each of your workouts are tracked so that you can check in with yourself and your goals each month. They also have challenges you can sign up for and it helps to keep yourself accountable! I love checking in on how many miles I’ve biked for the week and how close I am to hitting the different milestones and goals for the month of July.
