So the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has been bananas this year! With the first days of early access having the site keep crashing every time I tried to place my order to items being sold out so quickly, restocked, then sold out again but don’t be discouraged if you haven’t shopped the sale yet because there are still some really great pieces and items that are stocked in almost every size.
I went back to Nordstrom the other day so that I could try on a few more tops I hadn’t before that are still stocked so you could get my review on size, quality, and fit. There’s still a week to shop new fall arrivals on sale before prices go up on August 7th. So here’s the new/updated rundown of my favorite picks and dressing room diaries that are still in stock and ready to shop!
Tops:
This pleated top is super cute and still available in lots of sizes! It’s on sale for only $45.90. The material is thicker making it perfect for fall and I love the black and white stripes. I’m wearing a size XXS petite which I was surprised that it fit my chest but honestly it fits perfectly.
Here’s another fun pleated detail top. This one comes in three color options and sizing is pretty much still available (especially in petite). I’m wearing an XS petite for size reference and it’s still a roomy top. That’s of course the style of it. I love this grey and cream combo! Also on sale for $45.90.
This top is still available in almost all sizes in black and limited sizes in burgundy. As I mention in my first dressing room diaries post the ruffles stayed in place when I moved my arms around and I loved the top! I’m wearing a size small. It’s flowy which I love and not at all see through. It would definitely be classic in black and you could tuck it into a pencil skirt or trousers for work but also looks amazing with jeans!
This Cupcakes and Cashmere top is still available in sizes XS, small, and large. I’m wearing a size small and love the fit. It’s definitely a little cropped so works perfect for petite girls. If you’re not a fan of showing off your midriff I’d suggest pairing this top with high-waist jeans! I love the small ruffle detail on the elbow crease of the bell sleeve.
These Frame Denim side zipper jeans are still available in all sizes except size 27!!! I’d say they run TTS. I’m still not back to pre-baby weight/body so I’ve been mostly wearing size 26 jeans now and the 26’s fit me perfectly. They’re only on sale for another week at $159.90 then they’ll be going up to $259 so if you’ve been looking for a new pair of designer jeans save yourself $100 and snag these before they’re full price!
This top by Joie is so pretty and available in ALL sizes! Again, with the sleeve detail. I’m all about those extra details this Fall and so happy that it’s on trend. I tried this top on in a size small and I definitely needed the XS. I will say for the most part now as a default I’ve been reaching for size small since my chest is still so much bigger than it was before Mason but I’m finding that in most brands I’m actually able to get away with wearing the XS and there’s still room. I love these black high waist jeans from Frame Denim (sadly only available in size 23 or 29, so if you wear either of those sizes I’d buy these stat!). They might be my new favorite denim brand. They just seem to fit me so well. I’m wearing a size 26 again and they’re snug but perfect! I also love the frayed edge high-low detail.
I was very curious to try on this Treasure & Bond top. I love the drape detail in the front! I’m wearing an XS and it’s definitely a bit oversized. The fit isn’t bad this way but I think I’d prefer the XXS. It comes in 5 colors but I am totally digging this rust color which is still available in ALL sizes! Also available in all sizes in white and blue ice. There are still a lot of sizes in black too. The only color that is almost sold out is the grey which is only available in size large.
So this top comes in 4 colors/patterns and there are still sizes available in each print/color with a few sizes being sold out. I’m wearing a small for size reference and you can see it fit loosely. I probably could have gotten the XS and it might have fit a little better. I do like the idea of tucking it into a pair of jeans or high waist skirt for work.
This Treasure & Bond kimono is very oversized and is still available in the xs/small only. Because it runs so large I feel like if you are typically a medium you could definitely pull off wearing this size. I tried this Madewell top underneath just so I could see how it would look with a basic top underneath. The detailing is super cute and it comes in three colors, cream, blush, and black. It’s on sale for only $38.90 and will go up to $59.50 on August 7th. It’s still available in all sizes in all colors!
This blouse comes in four colors and is stocked pretty well in all colors and sizes. Some are sold out but for the most part it’s still pretty much available. I tried it on in an XS petite since I know that this brand runs a little large (or maybe really TTS since it’s looking like more and more brands I’m back to fitting into an XS top). This blouse was definitely long and didn’t fit me well but if you have a longer torso or are taller I think it would look really nice on you!
I love this top so much that I got it in multiple prints! It comes in 5 color/print options. The cream polka dot version that I bought right away sold out so quickly but was restocked and now sold out in all sizes but XS. This fall floral is a great option and is available in all sizes except large. In black it’s available in all sizes, in blue it’s available in everything except size small, and in black/olive it’s available in all sizes except large. It’s only $31.90 during the sale so not a huge hit to the wallet to buy two 😉 and will go up to $49 after the Anniversary Sale is over.
This top by Joie is still available in all sizes but I’m not surprised because it’s a definite splurge at $189.90 during the sale (it will go up to $288 after the sale). I love the dual prints going on, on the front of this top. The sleeve detail is subtle but cute. I’m wearing it in a small and I think it fits well. If you work in an office this would be a great top to pair with slacks or a skirt for work and can easily be worn on the weekends with jeans.
This sweatshirt is SO comfortable!!! It’s super cute and definitely worth the sale price of $29.90. It will go up to $45 after the sale and I’m not sure it’s worth spending that for a cutesy sweatshirt you are only going to want to wear with your brunette bestie. It’s still available in size XS and small in the Blonde version and available only in XS in the Brunette version.
You know I love a good bell sleeve and a multi-tierd bell sleeve is even better. I bought this one at the beginning of the sale that had two tiers and I absolutely love it. This top is very different because of the material. It’s super comfortable but thick enough that it will keep you warmer than the other top I got. I’m wearing a XXS petite and it fits nicely so I’d say it runs a bit big. It comes in three colors this grey, a blush pink, and black. Sizes are already starting to run out again so I’d hurry up and purchase if you’re wanting this top!
I’m wearing an XS petite in this top and I really like the fit and lace details. In petite sizes it’s still available in the XS petite and the medium petite. In regular sizes it’s still available in xx-small, small, medium, and XL. If you have an office job this top would be the perfect addition to your closet!
This velvet top was completely sold out in this gorgeous blush color but it’s been restocked and is available in all sizes except XXS! I’m wearing a size small for reference and love how comfortable it is around my shoulders. I hate when OTS tops dig in to my arms. It’s not comfortable to be wearing a top that leaves deep elastic marks on your arms and thankfully this top does not do that. It’s on sale for $45.90 through August 6th then will go up to $65 on the 7th. This top would be perfect for the holidays.
Dress:
This dress by Joie is another splurge item, even on sale, but it’s beautiful and if you buy it now you’re saving yourself $130!!! I love the fit. I grabbed the dress in a XS because the small looked way too roomy to try on. It’s still available in all sizes and will be the perfect dress for fall worn with boots or tights and booties!
Shoes:
Guys, my Nike Juvenate SE sneakers are still available in ALL sizes!! I already had them in grey but I bought them to take advantage of the sale price (right now they’re only $70.90 before they go up to $95 after the sale). They fit true to size. These are a size six and fit perfectly. They’re super comfortable for everyday wear but also function great for working out! I’ve been wearing them non-stop since I got them!
These Toms peep toe booties are really cute and on sale for $72.90 in two colors for the Anniversary Sale. All sizes are still available in the Toffee suede and the Forged Iron suede which I’m trying on here in the picture is only available in sizes 6, 7, 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5, 10, 11, and 12.
These Cole Haan boots are gorgeous and are still available in all sizes. They’re definitely a splurge even on sale but if you buy them now you’re saving yourself almost $100! They’re made so well and are super comfortable. When I saw these booties I knew I had to try them on. I’m wearing a size 6 and they fit perfectly. Online is says they run small so size up but I think the fit is great in my regular size. So if you are generally in-between sizes I’d suggest sizing up. I love the crisscross-textured stretch panels on the back of the booties. It makes it super easy to get them on and off since there is no zipper. They’re on sale for $159.90 but will be going up to $250 once the sale is over so if you love them now would be the time to get them!
These booties are so cute and have been restocked for backorder! Depending on the color size combo you could get them as early as mid-September but as late as early November. You can order the taupe and greystone colors in almost any size and the black seems to be only available in the smaller or larger shoe sizes. They fit TTS. I’m wearing a size 6 and that is my normal shoe size. These booties are a steal at $99 and will be going back up to $149.95 on August 7th.
These Rebecca Minkoff ankle boots are so cute and still in stock in ALL sizes. I love the blush pink suede and grommet detail. I just wish they were a little narrower in the ankle. I felt like I was going to walk out of them, even though I didn’t. On the plus, they are super easy to slip in and out of! They fit true to size (TTS).
