My day one of NYFW started with Leanne Marshall and then Marissa Webb (recap here). Before heading to New York I like to do a little outfit planning but at the same time plan for some alternates. Depending on my mood, I may want to switch up my shoes or accessories so while it’s a pain to lug around so much luggage I much prefer it over wishing I had something I left at home. NYFW for me is way more than just the shows. The street style and events are equally as fun and interesting. I love seeing what other people decide to wear each day. I wanted to share my street style for day one of shows. I decided to wear my bright kelly green DVF skirt, basic white tee white black piping shirt from French Connection that I recently picked up for Fashion Week and then balanced the look out with my t-strap Nine West heels. This outfit is totally wearable outside on NYFW and that’s one of the reasons why I love it so much. I don’t think you need to be outrageous to stand out at Fashion Week to get noticed by street style photographers.
