Somedays I just don’t feel like putting together an outfit before heading out the door, and I’m sure I’m not alone in this. When one of those days hits I tend to grab the same few items out of my closet for ease and convenience because I already know what works with them in my wardrobe. This turtleneck poncho has definitely become one of those pieces ever since I bought it. It works with everything. For some reason I don’t have that much in the way of beige and tan sweaters or tops, I guess I’ve been into grey lately, so unexpectedly finding this poncho at a local cafe was a pleasant surprise and addition to my closet. I love the proportions of this poncho and that it can be worn two ways; the v in the front and back or on the sides. I love playing with proportions, that’s probably from many years in design school. I like pairing an oversized top, in this case my poncho, with a mini skirt and OTK boots. It’s classy, a little edgy with a hint of sex appeal. This is an easy simple three piece outfit, dressing neutral colors, and one that I could wear on repeat.
