When I was at the Gilroy Premium Outlets shopping for my latest campaign with them, an outfit inspired by NYFW SS19, I couldn’t help but be drawn to this embroidered mini skirt. I loved it so much I knew I had to buy it. Thankfully I always “watch” the shows from Milan, London, and Paris. I knew that I had seen something like this skirt on the runway but I couldn’t remember where. After logging into my Fashion GPS app I found the gallery from ETRO. The outfit immediately popped out to me and right then and there I knew that’s why I had gravitated to this skirt. Besides the florals and embroidery there’s not much resemblance but enough that, that had to be the reason I couldn’t walk out of the store without it.
This skirt has gotten me so many compliments already. It’s perfect for fall and will look great with my OTK boots. Right now, while the temps are still all over the place, I’ll be wearing it with booties. Also, this thin teal blouse is perfect for transitional weather. It covers my arms so I’m not freezing but it’s lightweight enough that I can layer it underneath a jacket. It’s not quite sweater weather all day yet so long sleeve blouses have been my go-to along with thin, lightweight short sleeve sweaters.
What do you think about this look? Do you see the resemblance? Or am I just reaching trying to make a correlation between the two??? It’s ok if you think the latter.
