The 4th of July is definitely one of my favorite holidays. Though I’ll be honest, we still don’t have an American Flag to hang at our house. We’ve almost lived in our home for two years now but all the projects have really taken up our time and while it’s not hard to just purchase a flag for the house, I’ve somewhat been waiting for some of the big outdoor projects to be complete before we do so. Of course, the interior projects have been the priority and now we’re even going back to some of the rooms we’ve already done to make them more baby friendly so the outdoor projects just keep getting pushed farther and farther into the future. Thankfully from the party I hosted last year I’ve got plenty of festive decor, from throw pillows to party straws so we are not short of July 4th spirit!
As I mentioned last year it’s a very special anniversary for Justin and I, the 4th is the day we brought Lexie home seven years ago. It’s crazy how time flies and now with the much anticipated addition of our first baby I’m a little more sentimental. My sweet princess has been an incredible big sister to her fur brother Jackson and I am so hopeful that they both will be amazing with our baby. They have always loved babies and kids so I can’t imagine they won’t be great with our little one.
