I am in shock that July is already almost over! Seriously, the time needs to slow down a bit. This baby is going to be here before I know it and at the rate Justin and I are moving we probably won’t be ready (eek!)
I haven’t done a beauty favorites round up in a while and there are definitely a number of products I’ve more recently discovered that I am all about. Between looking for baby friendly products as well as summer skin remedies to dealing with the puffiness that comes along with being pregnant here are some of my summer beauty favorites of the moment that have been helping me in all these areas of concern.
My face has been feeling super puffy and big so I decided to give my face muscles a little exercise with NuFace. I’ve had a NuFace facial before and loved the results for how lifted my face felt so I figured I might as well try it out at home. To try and prevent stretch marks I’ve been using Boppy Bloom products. I’ve been alternating between their lotion and their oil. The oil doesn’t leave your skin feeling oily and the lotion is just the right amount of moisture. Either option is great for the morning because they both dry quickly so you don’t have to wait forever before getting dressed.
On evenings when I’m feeling super lazy and don’t want to wash my face with my usual cleanser I use Beautycounter’s Nourishing Cleansing Balm. I can apply it to my face with makeup on and rub it in. Then use a wash cloth that comes with the cleansing balm and wipe it all off. It leaves my face clean, makeup free, and super smooth.
In the summer I don’t like wearing too much makeup. I really go for the no makeup, makeup look. One product I love to use is La Roche-Posay SPF 30 correcting cream because I get my CC cream and SPF in one! I also don’t need to use foundation with this so one less product to put on my face (yay!).
My Clarisonic is definitely one of my favorite skincare tools. I have been using Clarisonic for many years now and their new Mia Fit is smaller and easier to take with you when you travel.
I received my Victoria’s Secret lotion as a gift and I absolutely love the scent. I’ve got their coconut milk lotion and I feel like I’m going on a tropical vacation every time I put it on. I use it everywhere except on my belly since I’ using my stretch mark cream or oil.
If you love that tingly feeling on your lips than you will definitely love Buxom lip gloss. I’ve been wearing mine non-stop and love that I can control the lip color by the amount of layers I apply. I typically wear two-three coats on my lips to get more color.
I’m sure I’m not the first person to say that Urban Decay eye shadows are amazing. I love a good neutral color palette that can easily take me from day to night and these colors are perfect for me. I like to wear a little shimmer during the day but nothing too dramatic and so the light colors on the left side of the palette are great for day and when I want to add a little drama I add one of the darker shades in the crease and outer edge blending in to the light neutral tones.
This Trish McEvoy dual palette with illuminator and bronzer is the perfect set for contouring. Like I said earlier, during the summer I prefer the no makeup, makeup look so while I love the look of contouring I like to keep it simple. This set has some nice shimmer but nothing over the top. It’s a great daytime set that if you want it to be more dramatic all you have to do is add a little more!
