This was probably the quickest and easiest DIY project I’ve ever done! For my baby shower I wanted to give a useful gift that the women who attended would use. I love my elastic hair ties, but buying enough for 40 women was a little more than I wanted to spend, and I saw a post on pinterest that gave me the idea to make some elastic hair ties for my baby shower.
Steps on how to make your elastic hair ties:
I found some super cute elastic on Amazon from a shop called, Sunshine Shoppe Supply. They had so many cute patterns and I loved the gold details on the two I decided on. Making them was so easy because all you need to do is measure the length you want, I did 10″, and then cut, fold in half, loop and knot on the end.
I designed a cute little card using photoshop and then had them printed through Vistaprint. I ordered them as business cards because it was the right size that I needed. Once the cards arrived I put one elastic hair tie per card. It’s a small gift for my baby shower attendees but I think they’ll all appreciate that I made the elastic hair ties myself. These hair ties are also one of two gifts everyone got and was just one of many things I did myself to help my mom and mother-in-law with my baby shower!
