As I started to transition my wardrobe to fall, I was looking for a few new sweaters to add in to the mix. I realized after doing my closet edit I still need a classic cashmere sweater but, until I decide on the perfect one, I couldn’t let this textured sweater pass me by. It was on major sale, as in 80% off, so I snagged it while my size was still available. I always love playing around with different textures in my outfits and this sweater is the perfect way to do that this Fall. I love fringe, tassels, and pom poms, all of which look great as details on a sweater. Embellishments and embroidery are two other great ways to get a pretty textural element in your outfit.
Just like with print mixing, mixing textures is another great way to look super chic; even wearing an otherwise casual outfit. If you haven’t scored my FREE Style Guide yet, you should definitely do so, since there’s a section on print mixing where I share my tips for mixing prints like a pro so you look chic and not overwhelming. There’s a fine line when it comes to print mixing just like there is with mixing textures and you want to be on the side of chic.
Here are just two ways you can style textured sweaters. Both are great for transitioning into fall. I’m definitely going to be sharing more ways to wear in the future but wanted to get a jump start on helping you style and outfit plan for fall! Let me know which way you prefer in the comments!
