I’ve been seeing a lot of corset sweaters and tops lately. What I like most about them is that they’re not nearly as tight/form fitting as an actual corset (thank goodness). They’re meant to add a bit of detail to your outfit and provide some waist definition.
When I spotted this corset sweater, that I now own, I knew I needed to give the trend a try. This sweater is super soft and I love that the lace-up detail is actually below my natural waistline. It kind of gives the illusion that I have hips. When I was pregnant I got hips. It was kind of strange for me to have them since I’ve always been pretty much straight up and down. I had narrow hips and a slightly narrower waist but I definitely wasn’t curvy. I had a hard time styling my hips while I had them but now they’ve almost gone back to where they were originally. So, clothes that make me look like I have some hips is nice.
Since this sweater was on sale during the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale, and it’s sadly sold out now, I wanted to share some of my top corset sweaters and tops with you all so if you’re interested you can try out the trend too!
