Happy Tuesday friends!! I am so very excited about this post today. I have been wanting to stay at and review The Clement Hotel ever since it opened in 2016. Thank you to The Clement Hotel for hosting us this past weekend. As always, the opinions expressed in this post are my own and not that of the hotel.
I absolutely love an all-inclusive resort and special guest-room personalization is a huge bonus. I mean there was note cards with my name embossed on them! The Clement Hotel feels more like staying at the posh home of a great entertainer and host/hostess as compared to a hotel. Anything and everything you need is there for you. It’s almost next to impossible to know each guest by name and their personal preferences at a large hotel. That’s why this 23 room boutique hotel has separated itself from the crowd of 5-star hotels in the area. They’re providing a 6-star experience, service and amenities!
Before our stay, I was sent a questionnaire where it had questions about any dietary restrictions, drink preferences alcoholic and non-alcoholic, if there were any particular food items we’d like to eat or have waiting in our room when we arrive. There were also questions about who would be joining me and their preferences, if any. I decided to bring the entire family with me, pups and all! The Clement Hotel is kid and pet friendly and they were so kind to have dog beds and food and water bowls waiting in our room as well as a crib they brought up at turndown service, when we were eating dinner, before Mason’s bedtime.
I loved that our suite had a bedroom, bathroom and living room all of which could be closed off from one another. There was plenty of room so we were able to have Mason’s crib go in the living room. All the windows had electronic shades and blackout screen. For bedtime, we put down both the blackout screen and shades in the living room so Mason could be in the dark and have some peace and quiet while Justin and I, along with the pups stayed up in our room to watch some TV and enjoy a glass of champagne before going to sleep ourselves. With access to the bathroom through our room and the living room we did not disturb Mason’s sleep at all.
Being in the heart of Palo Alto the boutique hotel is completely private, and secure with the front doors locked at all times. The hotel concierge are the only people to be able to open and close the doors as well as current hotel guests using their room key to unlock the door. It was nice to know that all our personal items we brought with us for our staycation were safe in the front, before being brought up to our room, while we took a tour of the hotel.
A few things really stood out to me during the tour. The hotel kitchen and dining room are for hotel guest only and you can enjoy a meal prepared by their chef or have access to the all-inclusive guest pantry 24 hours a day. No need to make dining reservations, you can come down whenever you please or room service is always an option and again all-inclusive. On the roof deck they have a special afternoon grille open from 11am-3pm. You can order from that menu or if nothing looks appetizing at the moment you can order off the main menu and your food and drinks will be delivered to your cabana, lounge chairs, or right to you in the pool or whirlpool. While the fitness room is small it has about everything you would need to get a nice workout in. Cold towels and snacks included for after your workout. The Clement Hotel is situated right across the street from Stanford University and they have running trails perfect for getting out and getting some fresh air.
Did I mention the hotel is all-inclusive?! Other than paying for your room, you can leave your wallet at the door when you check-in. Everything you need during your stay is included! That makes for a very fun, relaxing time, and worry free time. The personal concierge can help you with anything you need and want. This was seriously the nicest stay we’ve ever had in a hotel and we’ve stayed in our fair share of luxury hotels. Everyone there made us feel right at home and so welcome. By the end of our stay Mason was high-fiving and waving to everyone, running around in the living room area like he does in our home, had so much fun he didn’t want to leave the pool, and even tried to play one of the guitars (which was so incredibly cute). The pups were getting so much love from everyone and always received a warm welcome as we left and returned from our walks with them.
The food was AMAZING!! I mean top notch! We loved some of the food so much that we ordered a second round. The Poke Nachos and the Seared Day Boat Scallops were both mouthwatering good! Other than those two items that we ordered both days, everything we had was delicious. Their kids menu was extensive enough that we ordered Mason something different for each meal. I loved that they had Tim Pot Creamery ice cream in the 24-hour guest pantry because I love me some Tin Pot! My Avocado and Burrata toast was so good, if I wasn’t already full from the weekend of splurging I would have probably ordered another slice. I enjoyed their champagne and wine list and Justin enjoyed their beer selection as well as the whiskey that was waiting for him in-room. I don’t think I can say enough, how nice it was to have our room personalized for our tastes as opposed to the usual things you would find in a mini bar. We had fresh lemonade as well as almond milk and apple juice for Mason. I also enjoyed the lemonade because well I’m a big fan too.
Even though we were only 30 minutes away from our place in San Jose it still felt like a getaway. Not having to do anything but enjoy ourselves was a very nice treat! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for world class service with all the luxuries of an all-inclusive hotel and the vibe of a private estate!
Thank you for stopping by the blog today! I hope you enjoyed the post.
