There is one fashion trend that I am so happy I fully embraced when it first came out. It has continued to be a top fashion trend and that is the statement sleeve/bell sleeve trend. This trend has turned into my lifesaver this past week with my wrist surgery. I can’t believe it’s already been a week since I went in for surgery. I honestly couldn’t fit my wrist through most of my tops, and especially not my Rails button-down shirt or the sweatshirt that I had originally brought with me to the hospital for post-surgery comfort. So, I’ve been living in my bell sleeve blouses.
Could you imagine me having to describe the tops to Justin for him to pick out of my closet to bring down with him when he came home to Santa Cruz for the long weekend? It was comical. I was literally having to tell him approximately how many hangers in from the left the tops were, describe the prints, and any other details that could help him pick them out from the rest of my tops. “Please bring me all my wide sleeve tops” wasn’t a good enough description for him. MEN!
Having the use of one hand has really slowed me down this week so I apologize for the spotty posting. I didn’t really think about how much longer it might take to do EVERY daily task and typing has proven to be a challenge too. My wrist is now wrapped in a splint which is smaller than the soft cast I first had on but I obviously can’t move my wrist around like I am used to so things just take so much longer to do…like this post for instance.
