When planning my outfits for NYFW there are a few things I keep in mind. 1. What will I bring to stay warm? 2. What will I wear to stand out in the crowd? 3. How will I stay comfortable all day long? When you can find one item that answers all those questions, you’ve got yourself a winner! Now typically that’s not the case and it takes an entire outfit to check off all those boxes like pairing a sweater with a metallic skirt (worn here). It’s practical, I stay warm because of the sweater and tights, and I stand out with the metallic pleated skirt. It’s a fun combination and one not everyone would wear. That’s the other key for me, so 4. What will other people not be wearing? This furry (faux fur) jacket by Giamba was that piece that could answer all four questions and so I know that piece was a home run and definitely coming with me on my trip. There were tons of people wearing faux fur jackets and even real fur jackets but I didn’t spot anyone else in this sorbet mixed colored jacket. I love the embroidery detail that was on the cuff and inside of the jacket. It was a nice contract from all the fuzzing going on. The jacket was definitely the focal point of this outfit which I wore for Day three of NYFW.
