Ever since I bought this cobalt crop top from Anthropologie I have been wanting to wear it any chance I get! The color is just so vivid but really works with everything. I’ve considered navy blue to be a neutral along with the usual suspects but not cobalt, until now. Maybe it’s the fact that everything in my closet currently works great with the color cobalt or I’m just now realizing it because I now have a cobalt crop top that is versatile and I adore it!
I’ve been trying to switch it up lately since summer weather came a little early and I’m playing catch up with my wardrobe; trying to add new summer dresses into the mix, as I mentioned in this post, so I’ve been layering this cobalt crop top over a few of my printed dresses. I wore it over my Peter Pilotto for Target dress two weeks ago, you can spot it on my instagram feed if you’re following, and if not I’m @lmadney so come find me! This past week, I wore it over my, oldie but goodie, Hy & Dot animal print mini, also considered a neutral in my book, and I just love how the color pops. The asymmetrical zipper on the side of the top makes it more interesting than just a solid crop top. I love playing with it zipped all the way down, in the middle, or all the way unzipped. I wore it partially unzipped to let the skinny belt of the dress peek out, giving some definition to my waist.
Have you purchased a crop top recently that you don’t know what you did without it before, and has it worked it’s way into your work wardrobe? If it hasn’t, I really think it should! There are many ways to wear a crop top and still be work appropriate!!
