I am so excited to be teaming up with TargetStyle this spring to bring you all some fun and easy styling tips and tricks about building confidence and using your creativity when it comes to your personal style. We’ve already talked swimsuit season and now it’s all about beauty.
Beauty products are always a big part of putting together an outfit. It’s not just about the clothes, shoes, accessories, and handbags that you wear when you walk out your front door, but also your hair, makeup and nails. I always find it fun to play around with my nail polish colors. I like to switch it up as often as I can and nail polish is one area where you can really go crazy with color. So if you’re not the type that goes bold with your outfits, that’s totally fine; you can add your pop of color in your nails and accessories to finish a look or tie in your favorite jewelry with your outfit.
Have you checked out Target’s beauty section lately? If you’re at all like me, it’s impossible to visit Target and not walk down the beauty aisles just to see what might catch my eye. Their nail polish section is probably the most colorful and the area that draws my attention the most. The new Defy & Inspire nail polish line, exclusively sold at Target, has the perfect colors for Spring and Summer right now. I’m all about the colors and names of nail polish. (On a side note I always thought what a fun and challenging job it would be to be the person that names all the nail polish colors.) When I was on a recent shopping trip picking up some things for our trip to Florida, I got sucked in and ended up purchasing some new Defy & Inspire nail polishes. I ended up getting the perfect shade of red called “The Final Rose,” a vibrant coral color called “The Hills,” and a minty green color called “Paradise Island.” I mean, how cute are those names?! I couldn’t resist. All three colors I thought were perfect for Florida and beyond. One major plus to the Defy & Inspire nail polish line is that all you really need is one coat of color for full coverage. I don’t always have time to wait around for a base coat, two coats of polish and a top coat to dry. What I found is all I needed was one coat of polish. The base coat dries quickly, as you would hope it would, and the top coat helped set everything. Also, as advertised, the polish is totally crack-resistant. The patented plasticizers help keep your color vibrant and long lasting as well as strong. Tired of one color and ready to swap out for another, I even painted the “Paradise Island” over “The Hills” and you couldn’t even see the bright peach color underneath! Talk about a lazy girls dream to nail care!!
