Graduation Outfit
Top: Who What Wear for Target c/o. Skirt: Who What Wear for Target c/o. Heels: Cole Haan, old (similar). Necklace: Kendra Scott. Arm party: Kendra Scott | Kendra Scott | Lucien Piccard, old (similar) | Vita Fede.
How cute is this two-piece set?! It almost looks like a dress when paired together. But if you know me, then you know how much I love pieces that can be worn many ways, and both the skirt and tank will be getting a lot of wear. For this outfit, I spent a little extra time on my makeup. I used the NYX illuminator above my cheeks, a shimmery bronzer on my cheeks, and a mix of a few colors from my Sonia Kashuk color palette for my eye shadow and darker shade for a soft eyeliner. I also filled in my eyebrows with a blonde shadow. I kept my jewelry light to not compete with the print in the top and skirt.
Memorial Day Beach BBQ Outfit
Cover up: Chambray Top, old (similar). Tee: Merona. Dress: Merona c/o. Beach bag: Merona c/o. Shoes: Schutz. Necklace: Stella & Dot. Fitbit Bracelet: Tory Burch (on sale!). Watch: Lucien Piccard, old (similar).
Beach BBQs can be fun, but when the sun starts to set the temps drop quickly, so I spent a little more time planning my layers. Even if it’s for an afternoon only at the beach, you never know about the weather here in Santa Cruz. Layering a tee over a spaghetti-strap maxi dress helps out so much, and the chambray button-down is an added layer for warmth and style. This beach bag was the perfect extra touch to bring this outfit together. I kept my makeup pretty neutral, using my La Roche-Posay SPF 30 correcting cream to keep my skin looking even and a matte lip cream on my lips. A light layer of shimmery eye shadow from my shadow kit and my XXL mascara.
Baby Shower Outfit
Vest: Merona c/o. Tank: Who What Wear for Target c/o. Skirt: Who What Wear for Target c/o. Heels: Mossimo. Necklace: Stella & Dot. Arm Party: Stella & Dot | Stella & Dot | Lucien Piccard (similar). Sunglasses: Kate Spade.
This outfit would have been cute without the white denim vest, but that layer added a little extra style and dressed the whole look down – perfect for a daytime event. This pearl statement necklace and open bracelet were the right amount of feminine touches that worked nicely with the soft lace in my tank and pleated skirt. Blush, cream, and white are a beautiful color combination for a baby shower. Add a pop of pink in the lips and a subtle grey eye shadow for some contrast. I used my bronzer and illuminator over my blush for some extra glam.
I am so excited to be teaming up with TargetStyle again this summer to bring you all some fun and easy styling tips and tricks that can help elevate your style in just five extra minutes. (A small sacrifice to stay on point with your looks this summer.) It’s all about building confidence and using your creativity when it comes to your personal style. We’ve already talked swimsuit season and polishing your look with the perfect shade of nail polish, and now it’s time to chat summer events.
I can hardly believe it’s already getting toward the end of May and I’m over halfway through my pregnancy! It’s also the start of event season, with weddings, graduations, and beach parties coming up, as well as the event that I’m looking forward to most – my baby shower. With all these events, you’ve got to stay looking good, feeling good, and, of course, your outfit has to be on point! There’s a perfect outfit for every occasion, and with a little extra thought and just five minutes of your time, you can top it off with the right makeup and accessories to take your outfit to the next level. I’ve shared with y’all three outfits for three different occasions. When you’re running around trying to do it all, carving out an extra five minutes can sometimes seem impossible. But trust me when I say, you’re worth the extra “me time” to look and feel your best. Some products I’m using to add the finishing touches to my look are NYX Born to Glow Illuminator, a gorgeous neutral color palette to make my eyes sparkle, and makeup setting spray. I’ve been starting off right this summer with e.l.f. poreless face primer and La Roche-Posay daily complete tone-correcting cream with SPF 30 as my base. This combination means I get some sun protection without my face looking and feeling greasy. You may be thinking, “Of course, I do those steps every day,” but honestly when I’m trying to do my five-minute makeup routine, one way I save some time is by either doing one color of eye shadow all over my lid or by skipping shadow entirely and just using XXL mascara.
